vaccines are produced after the outspread of any kind of bacterial or viral disease. Scientists are continuously working on COVID-19 vaccine after the discovery of corona virus.

First we should be familiar with term vaccine ..

What is vaccine?

Vaccine is a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against that specific disease and is prepared from the causative agent of that disease.

Vaccines prepare the body’s natural defense system — body recognize and fight against that specific virus and bacteria.

Benefits of vaccines

Vaccines save millions of people every year. After vaccination, if the body is later exposed to those disease-causing germs, the body rapidly destroy them.

Types of vaccines

There are several types of vaccines, including:

  • Inactivated vaccines
  • Live-attenuated vaccines
  • Messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines
  • Subunit, recombinant, polysaccharide, and conjugate vaccines
  • Toxoid vaccines
  • Viral vector vaccine

Vaccine For COVID-19

  1. There are now several vaccines that are in use. The first mass vaccination program started in early December. At least 7 different vaccines (3 platforms) have been administered

After getting vaccinated, for the first 14 days there is no any meaningful protection, then it increases slowly. vaccine is generally administered in two doses. Two dose vaccination is better to achieve strong immunity against this virus.

How much protection this vaccine can give to human body is still not known. Researchers are finding the answer of this question. However, any kind of vaccine can reduce the severity of viral attack & can minimize the risk of death.

Authorized and recommended vaccines

Currently, three vaccines are authorized and recommended in united-states to prevent COVID-19:

· Pfizer-BioNTech

· Moderna

· Johnson & Johnson/janssen

All these vaccines have different rules for administration.

Precautions after vaccination

Being vaccinated doesn’t mean that gathering is allowed. We still don’t know to which extent we are safe from being infected again. We also don’t know, after vaccination can we either pass this virus to others or not?

we might get protection after vaccination but we can act like be we can act like a medium that can transfer the virus to others.

You should wear face masks, clean your hands, avoid hand shaking and Gathering must not be allowed. For the safety of other people continue to maintain a distance of at least 1-meter.

Reported side effects of vaccine

Like other vaccines there are some minor side effects of COVID-19 vaccine

They include:

· Pain at the site of injection

· Mild fever

· Little bit fatigue

· headache

· muscle pain

· Diarrhoea

· Chills

· Tiredness

152 million confirmed cases have been reported to WHO Till the beginning of May 2021 & 3.19 million deaths have been reported.

We don’t know when this pandemic will end and we will live a normal life. We all need to follow the SOP’s and must be vaccinated any any available vaccine. This process has been completed to some extent but final and fully authorized vaccine is in pipeline. The final COVID-19 vaccine will be game changer.

No doubt corona virus has affected all the world we should follow the SOP’s and should be vaccinated. we should not wait for any special kind of vaccine brand.

wear face masks…….
